Chapel Theatre Collective makes its performance debut; this new theatre company comprises Jason Glick, Danielle Weathers, and Illya Torres-Garner, three Portland actors that met during their performance of Davita’s Harp with the Jewish Theatre Collaborative. They will perform Stuck, a play by Audrey Cefaly: Bob and Betty are out on their second date when things go terrible wrong. Eager for acceptance, Bob pretends to be more than he is. Betty, new to the world of dating, struggles to calibrate as she lurches forward into the unknown. The play won the Silver Spring Stage One-Act Festival in 2011, the Maryland One-Act Festival in 2011, and the Eastern States One-Act Festival in 2011.

TriptheDark Dance Company is Chapel Theatre’s resident dance company. The company has been performing in Portland since 2010 and focuses on storytelling through contemporary dance. They will bring back pieces from their 2016 show Dance of the Dream Man: A Twin Peaks Story. If you, like us, were super pumped that a new season of Twin Peaks came out this year, this is your opportunity to continue your obsession. Even if you’ve never seen Twin Peaks, this performance is worth your time.
